| Guruvayoor Valiyakeshavan gone wild... |

During the Sree Krishna Jayanthi festival ceremony in Guruvayoor temple, Guruvayoor Valiya Keshavan created some problems. The ten kilogram gold thidambu (idol - representation of the God, keeps as crown for the main elephant) of Guruvayoorappan, falls down from the elephant and partially destroyed.

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
