Mangalamkunnu Ayyappan becoming start of Cherai

Mangalamkunnu Ayyappan won at cherai head lifting competition continuously for the second time. This year he defeated Thrikadavoor Sivaraju on a good marjin. Last year Mangalamkunnu Ayyappan defeated Pampadi Rajan here. Vaadkkecheruvaram lined up Ayyappan for the competition.

Last two years Thechikottukavu Ramachandran didnt took part in the program. On his absence Mangalamkunnu Ayyappan continuing this winning to the second year.

After the competition Mangalamkunnu Ayyappan took the main thidambu of Subrahmanya Swami and Thrikadavoor Sivaraju lifted the Siva-Parvathi's Thidambu for the procession. This will be like this for the pooram in the evening also. In the morning procession other than these elephants, Chiraykkal Kalidasan, Thayankavu Manikandan... lined up. For the evening Ottoly Rajashekaran, Puthenkulam Ananthapadmanabhan, Thiruvanikavu Rajagopalan, Chiraykkal kalidasan, Thayankavu manikandan, Annamanadan Umamaheswaran, Cherai Krishnaprasad, Pallathankulangara Gireeshan.. will line up.
