Elephant Welfare Trust of India (EWTI) is inaugurated on Sunday, Dec 25, 2007 with a very fine gajamela and very colorful Elephant Safari.
With the presents of thousands of people the Elephant Welfare Trust of India (EWTI) is inaugurated
The Presents of foreign tourists made the event very colorful. So many elephant lovers came forward and shown their willing to work with EWTI for the elephants.
The prime aim of the EWTI is to re-inhabit the old elephants well. That will be a great helping hand for the elephant owners also. Almost all elephant owners were present for the function.

They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
