| Jumbo Junction for Elephant Ride. |

 Jumbo junction will be start functioning from Sep 04, 2008, is the first elephant riding center in Kochi. It is located at a beautiful plot in the serene atmosphere of Kanjiramatam (Ernakulam - Kumarakom route via Thripunithura), 25 KMS from Ernakulam Town. The place offers traditional divine atmosphere of Kerala with the presence of famous Koothekavu Bhagavathy Temple locates just few meters away from the Jumbo Junction.
The riding center shall provide the tourists with a great opportunity to get up and close with elephants. The visitors can enjoy themselves by having a journey sitting on top of the elephant of their choice during the Jumbo Ride. session. They shall also have the privilege to join an elephant bath. There will be a bathing section calling 'Jumbo Bath' everyday where the guests can also join the mahouts in bathing the elephants. The guests can also feed the elephants with fruits from the 'Jumbo Basket'. The Jumbo Junction also have facilities to provide shelter for those elephants, that may have to pass through this route during the festival season.

They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
