The famous Sree Krishna Jayanthi Celebration at Kunnathurmedu, palakkadu was fantastic experience for the elephant and festival loevrs this year also. This year also Nanuezhuthachan Sreenivasan was the main elephant for the procession. Thayankavu Manikandan and Chiraykkal Kalidasan were on both side alternetively in the morning and evening.
Other than these three, Shankarankulangara Manikandan, Chemputhra Devidasan, Kuttankulangara Ramadas, Bastian Vinayachandran, Mullathu Ganapathy and Palakkadu Kesavan lined up to make this a grant event.

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
