Kavassery Pooram 2007
Description
Kavassery is a place at Palakkad.Its a beautiful small village.Its one of the superb fetivals in palakkad.It is celebrated on the month of "Meenam"(malayalam month).The organisors of the pooram are Kavassery,Kazhani,vavulliapuram,kavassery SNDP,Sree parakkattu kavu Devaswam etc.pooram is considered as the birthday of Sree parakkattu bhagavathi.
Elephants paticipated for the last kavasery pooram(2007) were;
Thechikottukavu Ramachandran(Middle), Kuttankulangara Arjunan, Chirakal mahadevan,Chemboothra Devidasan,Grangadu Kesavan(Right side) Thayankavu Manikandan,Nandhilath Arjunan,Mangalamkunnu Arjunan,Popson Unnikrishnan(Left side)

| Elephants |

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
