Description
This year Bastian Vinayashanker won the headliftnig competition, defeating Mangalamkunnu Ayyappan, Kuttankulangara Arjunan, Gurujee Ayyappan, Pampadi Rajan, Chiraykkal Kaliadsan, Gurujee Ananthapadmanabhan, Prumbavoor Arun Shivanarayanan and Erattupetta Ayyappan.
Pamabaci Rajan elected as the beautiful elephant of the competition.
More than 20 elephants took part int he event.

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
