Vikkam Asttami 2007
Description
The participation of some famous elephants made the event very colorful. For asttami we had Nanuezhuthachan Sreenivasan to lift Udhayanapurathappan's tidambu this year (Last year that weas a miss).
From 8th days of the festival we had 11 elephants for the procession.

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
