Elamkunnapuzha Festival 2007
Description
A grand Elephant Procession was there with the festival on Nov 19, 2007. Most part of that was sponsored by elephant lovers of that area "Bhaktaskanda". "Gajarethnam Guruvayoor Padmanabhan" was the main attraction of the day.

The first main outing of Pampadi Rajan of the year also was very majestic. He was the first right for padmanabhan during the days procession and hold the Thidambu for the night procession.
The beautifull Nadan elephants like Mangalamkunnu Ganapathy, Kongadu Kuttishankaran, Kuttankulangara Ramadas, Thiruvanikavu Rajagopal.. all were special attraction...

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
