Description
 Guruvayoor Padmanabhan is always the attraction. We can see elephants stand with out the pressure of head lifting at this Gajarajasangamam. Mostly we can see the participation of beautiful elephants than giving importance to height in this festival. Because we have to higher possition at both end of the ground, the ceremony here have some special attraction.

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
