puthenkulam arjunan is the heartbeat of kollam people. he holds the thidambu for most of the festivals at kollam. he is very much black in colour with long, wide and pure white 'Kombu'. this is a compromise for his short and narrow trunk. another thing u notice in him is his 'thalaeduppu'. being tall n black he has an aristocrat look. he was the centre of atraction for kollam pooram from the thamarakulam side.

this elephant has good $ fatty tusk he is the king after ananthapadmanabhan at puthenkulam.He has a similar look to our chemboothara devidasan

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
