i was born and bought up in kolkata and settled in kerala in 2001.i came to know about ramachandran only in 2003,before that i had no craze for elephants.one of my friend told me about him and asked me to go to CHERAI for th thalapokka malsaram..really i was amazed to see the competitive behaviour within him. and also the hieght it attains when it lifts its thala.and from that onwards i have became its fan.But i came to know that being such a popular elephant, why it has been banned from THRISSUR pooram. There are many such elephants which are ceating problems in poorams .one such wa thrikkadavur sivaraju, which killed his papan , but still bought in thuravoor ulsavam, then why ramachandran is being ignored, infact i came to know that same case is going on against him...Being an inhabitant of Ernakulam district its my request to bring back the ramachandran at leat this year.Adding to this,to the thechikottukavu devasom, there has been information that although tender is going on , but still on the greed of extra money, you all are sending the elephant to other poorams inspite of the tender.this has also added to the problem for him. kindly look into this and try to bring ramachandran as much poorams as possible..

Kerala has more than nine hundred elephants in captivity. Most of them are owned by temples and individuals. They are used for religious ceremonies in and around the temples, and a few elephants work at timber yards. Experts defined the necessary features (Lakshanam) for a good elephant. The sexy features of the elephants are narrated in different books like "Mathanga Leela". They even said, the girls should walk like elephant to get more attraction. ..
